Carson Wentz reclaimed the Communists’ starting job for one whole week, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler:

Wentz was 16-28 for 143 yards with three interceptions in a week 17 loss that knocked Major Tuddy and the Commanders out of the playoffs. He was booed by the home fans, all five of them, while they chanted for Taylor Heinicke instead.

Not sure about you, but I just feel bad for Wentz at this point. The guy was so good in 2017. Cruising to the MVP award before the injury, and still got two votes anyway. That version of Carson is long gone and never coming back, as he gets benched in week 18 while playing for his third team in three years.

The other thing is this –

Taylor Heinicke is not the QB of the future down there. The Commies should start Sam Howell and see what he has. He may or may not be the guy, but Heinicke is nothing more than a serviceable backup and Carson isn’t a franchise QB in 2023. Ron Rivera going back to Wentz with the playoffs on the line may be the worst coaching move of this entire NFL season. Lawd have mercy.
