Looks Like "The Dallas Special" was Supposed to be a Pitch Back to Dak, then to Zeke Elliott, who had Already Been Flattened
We’ve cracked the code, or at least Liam has. The Cowboys’ hilarious final play of the season apparently was supposed to be a lateral back to Dak Prescott, but, alas, it was not to be:
What I believe the concept was
Dallas was looking to get Dak the ball back on a pitch from Turpin
Dak was then going to throw back to Zeke who was supposed to snap and loop back up the right sideline with a trio of OL blocking for him pic.twitter.com/PNz0DyD6y1

so basically what I think the concept was
Dak throws to Turpin who pitches back
Dak throws back to Zeke who runs up the right sideline
When it breaks down Zeke throws back to TY Hilton

Would it have worked?
Well probably not. It didn’t even make it to step 3 or 4 because steps 1 and 2 were blown up immediately by San Francisco. And even then they would have had to go 80 yards down the field and into the end zone, so plugging it into the Crossing Broad analytics formula, we can say this play had a DYAR 0.000000000001% chance of resulting in a touchdown.
How bout them Cowboys!
