George Kittle checking in after the Niners’ win:

A longer portion of the quote via Niners Nation:

“To go into Philly, which is a fantastic atmosphere… It’s going to be wonderful, I know how much the fans love the opposing team. It’s going to be cold and violent and it’s going to be a blast.”

Now ironically, it’s 38 degrees and raining as we speak. It’s been the most mild winter in the Philadelphia region that anyone can remember. High of 49 for Sunday, low of 36, so not exactly the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field for the NFCCG.

Still colder than Santa Clara, however, where the seven-day forecast ranges from 41 degrees to 65 degrees, so it’s definitely gonna be a drop off in temperature for a team that hasn’t come to the east coast since mid-October. It’ll be a slight adjustment for them, maybe not Kittle and Brock Purdy since they played college ball in Iowa, but yeah.

Not sure why, but the “cold and violent” thing is great. Sounds like a Carcass song. Is Kittle a death metal fan? He seems like he would be. What a football player. He’d love playing here.
