Is this Defensive Holding?
You tell me:
A crucial hold on James Bradberry set up a Chiefs go ahead field goal with 8 seconds left pic.twitter.com/fuZQQUlS0z

Dunno man. I’m trying to put aside the lifelong Eagles fandom and call it down the middle. It’s close. My problem is that you CANNOT decide the Super Bowl on something like this. You can’t end an amazing game on that call. If it was egregious, fine, but it wasn’t egregious. It was a bang-bang type of play that would have resulted in a third down stop and got the Eagles the ball back, down three with about 90 seconds on the clock.
Brutal.
Some other opinions:
Usually don’t get involved in ripping referees but HATE that defensive holding call on Bradberry. 35-35 late on a 3rd down incompletion on what was a marginal foul???
Let em play man!!
Bad call-hate that is what many will take away from this game.— Kirk Herbstreit (@KirkHerbstreit) February 13, 2023
What a HORRIBLE call on Bradberry. WOW!

DEFINITELY NOT A PENALTY ON BRADBERRY.

That fact that Bradberry had a much worse hold earlier in the game that they didn’t call tells you all you need to know about NFL officiating.
Could’ve been 2-3 more scores or even overtime for an awesome ending. 👎

Good point by Ross. There was a 3rd down penalty that Bradberry got away with earlier in the game, which was much more clear than the one that ultimately decided the game.
Don’t let this distract you, of course, from the shitty defensive performance, especially in the second half. That’s ultimately the cause for the loss, the fact that nobody made a play all night long.
