Reporter Tells Jalen Hurts He’s Sorry Because he Didn’t Think Eagles Would Reach Super Bowl with Him at QB

This was probably the most-shared video clip from Media Night:
Reporter: “I gotta admit, I didn’t think the Eagles would get to the Super Bowl with you as their Quarterback.”
Jalen: “You’re not the only one.”
Reporter: “So I just wanted to tell you man to man.. I’m sorry.”
Jalen: “Cool.” pic.twitter.com/v40Po1efEY

To be fair, most people had this kind of thought after the 2021 season. Hurts showed quite a bit in the talent and athleticism and leadership departments, but folks wondered if his arm was going to be good enough to get him to the next NFL level, and that turned out to be true. It also helped that he had A.J. Brown to throw to this season, but he was also dropping dimes and trying passes he barely even attempted last season.
Not sure an apology was necessary, but perhaps this reporter feels as though his conscience is now clear. The weight has been lifted from his shoulders. He can now move on with his life.
