Holy shit what a game. St. Joes commit Xzayvier Brown sends the PCL Championship into OT at the buzzer:

Ice cold.

I love #3 in this clip below calling for the ball. Xzayvier Brown led all scorers with 20 and took over in the 4th. He could’ve had five guys on him and he wasn’t giving this thing up:

There is no atmosphere like the PCL Championship. D1 talent galore. Packed wall to wall. In the cathedral of basketball. Neumann Goretti’s Robert Wright is going to Baylor and he’s going to play in front of Big 12 crowds that aren’t that loud. It makes it even sadder to realize what the Big 5 has become.

The entire game was a dog fight. Wright missed four straight free throws in the fourth that would’ve iced it. Then his brother missed the front end of the 1-and-1 that led to Brown hitting that game tying three. Roman pulled ahead in overtime where the older Wright missed two more at the line to bring it within one. Brown hit both of his free throws, threw up the “X” to the student section, and Roman won 57-52.

This year the PCL runs through Broad and Vine:

Were there another game I missed tonight?

P.S. Shout out to the alma mater! The Lansdale Catholic girls basketball team won their first ever PCL Championship earlier. Basketball school:
