A one-year deal? Eagles could have matched that easily. Makes you wonder what happened behind the scenes. How much money did he want? How many years? What was Howie willing to offer? Or was Howie OUT on CJGJ?

This one hurts more than the others. When you went down the list, it was unanimous that Hargrave, CJGJ, and Bradberry were the top three defensive free agents for the Birds, and now two of them are gone, both within the NFC as well. The Birds have lost both starting safeties and both linebackers and still need to work a long-term deal with Jalen Hurts.

In Howie we trust, but there’s a stench emanating from this one. Not sure which side it’s wafting up from.
