Joe DeCamara's Free Throw Performance was Actually Very Good
94 WIP did a thing Tuesday morning where Joe “The Hammer” DeCamara took on Big 5 alumni in a free throw shooting contest:

The trendy thing here is to say DeCamara “sucks” and he’s “unathletic” or white or whatever, but 37 for 50 is 74%. That is very good for a WIP host not named Ike Reese, Jon Ritchie, or Hugh Douglas.
I can guarantee you that less than 15% of the Philadelphia sports media would hit 37 of 50 free throws in this same environment. Seriously. There’s a reason why we end up writing about sports instead of playing sports, because our ceilings were division 3 bumblefuck university or perhaps Boyertown Area Senior High School.
Truthfully, Joe’s form is pretty good here. Better than Ben Simmons. He bends the knees, shows good consistency, and exhibits muscle memory. He’s got people jeering from the sidelines and the camera is rolling the entire time and he damn near hits three quarters of his shots anyway. That’s good.
