From Sanders on Twitter:

We always knew he was leaving, not because he wanted to, but because the Eagles just don’t pay running backs in free agency. The Rashaad Penny signing was essentially the final bit of unofficial confirmation here.

Sanders had a career year in 2022, running for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns. He carried the ball 259 times, stayed healthy, and really excelled in a contract season, which hopefully gets him the bag somewhere else. With Saquon Barkley, Josh Jacobs, and Tony Pollard all getting the franchise tag, it slims the market down to the point where he’s basically the top guy remaining. We’ll see where he lands.
