Thanks to a CB reader for sending this over.

On the latest episode of Mike Missanelli’s podcast, he answered emails from listeners. One of those emails was from a person who said they contacted a Beasley executive regarding Mike’s 97.5 the Fanatic departure, asking why he didn’t get a proper send off. The executive said that Missanelli did indeed have that opportunity, which Mike called a “flat out lie” –

(As a quick note here, Beasley doesn’t have a GM in Philadelphia. He’s likely talking about VP and Market Manager Joe Bell, but there’s also Program Director Chuck D’Amico and Operations Manager/Assistant PD Eric Camille)

I don’t really have much to add at this point. We already litigated the Mikey Miss Fanatic departure. The relationship between him and Beasley deteriorated pretty badly by the end, and so decision makers there decided to begin putting together the Tyrone, Brodes, and Ricky Bo show. The rest is history.*

Just thought this was worth sharing since I’m not sure Mike has gone into detail with his side of how that specific part of the departure went down.

(this post is dedicated to the guy on Twitter who thinks I’m a Mike Missanelli lover)

*by the way, that was my worst journalism experience ever, chasing that story
