All we wanted was Joel Embiid vs. Nikola Jokic. It’s late March, MVP is on the line, and the two best bigs in basketball were set to go head to head.

Instead, Embiid is ruled out AFTER playing a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday night, two days after playing just 16 minutes in Chicago due to a calf issue.

So now we have:

  • two straight losses
  • no Embiid/Jokic matchup
  • Embiid running his mouth in the Shams interview, for what?
  • Pagan out in Denver RIGHT NOW figuring out a content Plan B
  • a bunch of people saying Embiid is ducking Jokic
  • bad optics all around
  • re-energized national dipshits saying Joel is soft and the Sixers suck and blah blah

Many mistakes were made. This was totally bungled. Embiid should have sat against Phoenix or Golden State. I need this matchup like they need clean water in Philadelphia. Denver vs. Philly was the most-anticipated game of the ENTIRE REGULAR SEASON WITH MVP RAMIFICATIONS AND THEY TOOK IT FROM US.

I don’t even care about the playoffs right now. Yes,  it’s smart in the big picture to give Joel a rest ahead of the postseason, but I needed Jokic vs. Embiid. Bastards fucking took it from us. Thanks for nothing!
