Bruins Fans Chanting “We Want the Cup” at the Wells Fargo Center was a Doozy

Jesus was this TD Garden or the Wells Fargo Center?

Just another hit for franchise that has taken many this year. A tale of two different organizations. The Bruins are a model of consistent success. They fire the coach of a 107-point team last season and set an NHL record for most wins ever. They draft David Pastrnak late in the first round and develop him into a 60-goal guy. The Flyers, on the other hand, need to hit the reset button and they can’t even do that right. They’ve lost seven-straight and still sit in the seventh lottery spot, in a draft that has potentially four franchise-altering talents. What does it matter though? They consistently miss on top draft picks. The defenseman Chuck Fletcher traded three picks for has been scratched for the last three games. First rounders from 2018 are testing free agency. Is Danny B, another former Flyer in a leadership position, really going to turn the franchise around? Recency bias says no. It’s going to take a lot to get out from under the mess of Fletcher and Ron Hextall. While that’s all happening we’ll watch one of our biggest rivals compete for the Stanley Cup for the fourth time in 12 years.
