We had a coach melee in Tampa yesterday between the Single A teams of the Yankees and Phillies:

Via Kade Kistner at Sports Illustrated the brawl happened between two coaches and another one was involved after:

Some high drama unfolded over the weekend down in Clearwater, Fl. (EDIT: actually Tampa) for the Philadelphia Phillies. Single-A Clearwater Threshers manager Marty Malloy got upset by a hit-by-pitch and threw a punch at Tampa Tarpons pitching coach Gerardo Casadiego.

Welcome to the minor leagues where things like this are okay?

The Tarpons hitting coach Rick Guarno was also tackled to the ground after his colleague was assaulted. He is apparently okay after trying to defend his friend’s safety.

That Yankees coach has a stronger jaw than Ryan Garcia. Did you see how quick that counter was? Holy shit. I don’t blame the guy who started it for getting out of the way, but you left your teammate on an island to get clocked by a mean right hook.

Here’s another angle. Calvin Harris’ “Don’t Blame It On the Night” was a nice touch:

The two dudes who tripped over each other have been DFA’d:

Here’s the whole thing including the hit by pitch and some Florida Karen screaming, “Get them all out!” and”Call the cops!” She sounds lovely:
