This is why I love sports fans. At the end of the day we’re no different than the looney tunes who believe in QAnon or RussiaGate. We all have an extraordinary ability to trick ourselves into believing the wildest things can happen when, if we used just a tiny hint of logic, it would prove otherwise. Partly because we’ve seen it. The Eagles winning Super Bowl 52 has warped my brain forever. Anyone can win at any time and any place. Since that’s the case I’m now worried for this Nets series because WHO IS GOING TO STOP SPENCER DINWIDDIE?????

That’s all I care about right now. It’s not Ben Simmons! Is Joel Embiid gonna outscore Mikal Bridges and the Brooklyn Nets by himself? Even the biggest Embiid fan would have to admit probably not. Joe AND Seth are coming off the bench. What if they get hot? I don’t even know what a Watanabe is! But I’m not excited to find out. Is Cam Thomas going to be in the locker room until Jacque Vaughan takes a hammer to the “Break In Case of Emergency” glass? Are the Sixers going to overlook the Nets and give as much effort as their social team did for this “hype video?”
