Huggy Bear will not be cancelled:

If you missed it earlier this week, he said “Catholic f***” on a Cincinnati radio show.

The thought of Bob Huggins taking sensitivity training is objectively hilarious. He’s a 69-year-old basketball coach from West Virginia. Reaching a breakthrough with Huggy Bear would be like getting Walt Kowalski to stop using Asian slurs.

I can’t say I’m surprised by this. Huggs has been at WV for a long time now, just pulled a huge class through the transfer portal, and coaches in a state that is certainly not woke. The West Virginia old boys network has been in place for a long time, and the people running the state and the school certainly do not give half of a shit about what other people think. If this was Cal, he would have been fired on the spot, but it’s not, it’s WV.

That said, if this was Neal Brown (football coach) or anyone else down there, they likely would have been canned. Huggs didn’t get canned because he’s Huggs. It appears as though he is uncancellable.
