Bryce Harper is a modern day medical miracle. Via Matt Gelb at The Athletic (with ads) Bryce could be back against the Dodgers tomorrow:

Bryce Harper has defied every conventional timeline while recovering from Tommy John surgery, and now the process has reached its tipping point. Harper will see a doctor Monday morning in Los Angeles. If he is cleared, he is expected to return to the Phillies’ lineup as the designated hitter Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium — a mere 160 days following the surgery to reconstruct his right elbow.

Crazy. This dude is incredible. We all thought this team would slog through the first half of the season without him and instead he has the chance to join one of the best offenses in baseball a month into the season. Just imagine how much this is going to help Trea Turner and Kyle Schwarber, who have been struggling. Turner should get more pitches to hit in the zone as pitchers realize if he stays patient there’s two guys behind him that can knock him in on the next pitch. The Phils have won fours series in a row, the bullpen is on fire, and the team is getting healthier day by day.  Once everyone in this lineup gets going it’s going to be scary.

There isn’t a hole in the lineup:

Stott

Turner

Harper

Castellanos

Schwarbs

JT

Bohm

Marsh

Sosa
