Howie Roseman was on Chris Long’s Green Light podcast and the pair discussed the 2017 Eagles vs. the 2022 Eagles. That opens the episode and really picks up around the five-minute mark:

It’s a tough discussion because the Eagles had the Carson Wentz portion of 2017 and the Nick Foles portion of 2017. You’re essentially comparing two teams back then to one team now.

We went through the exercise a few months ago, when Fletcher Cox was asked the question up at the podium. Ultimately, the conclusion was that the 2022 team got the slight nod, based on the idea that this group just had more of an advantage at the corner position and also along the defensive line. Everything else was essentially a wash. Just stud players all over the field on both sides of the ball.

It’s a good episode, worth watching the whole thing. Not very long.
