JJ Redick Interviewed for the Toronto Raptors Job
Head coach JJ Redick? –
Fifteen-year NBA veteran and ESPN analyst JJ Redick has interviewed for the Toronto Raptors’ coaching job, sources tell ESPN. Redick was part of a first-round of candidates to meet with franchise leadership.

Redick, of course, is taking the typical path to coaching. You wrap up your career in your late thirties, then move to ESPN and become a talking head. Next thing you know, you’re interviewing with the Raptors. Sounds like white privilege to me! (only 33% joking here)
Sources say Redick presented Raptors leadership with a simple plan. Every offensive possession will be a dribble-hand off. No pick and roll or iso or anything like that. It will just be shooting guards bombing the wings and firing up off-balance three pointers. As such, Marco Belinelli is considering an NBA return to play in this system.
Need to double check here, but if Redick lands this gig, he may be the first NBA head coach to be pulled directly from First Take.
