Shout out to NRG for having us out again for the annual charity flag football game at the Eagles’ Novacare Complex.

The gist is that four media teams compete in a small tournament to see who can send the most money to a non-profit group that includes CHOP, Nemours, Philabundance, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Four great organizations that benefit from NRG’s “Choose to Give” program, which allows customers to support local non-profits through payment of their electric and natural gas bills. Since the program launched in 2017, more than $10 million has been shared with eight non-profit partners in total.

We went 0-2 this year, so a big donut, but it wasn’t for a lack of trying. There was a controversial call in our first game (the ref blew a goal line call) and then our defense fell apart in the second game. Pat Gallen of CBS 3 won MVP. That bastard!

But we had fun and did a mic’d up video. Thanks again to NRG for the invite:
