James Harden wants to Remind Everyone the Reason He’s Not in “James Harden Shape” is Because He Didn’t Have a Training Camp

The Clippers are on a six-game losing streak (0-5 with James Harden). But don’t worry, the wins will start piling up once James Harden gets into “James Harden shape” –

Did no one follow up and ask why he didn’t participate in preseason or training camp? Clippers fans need Eagles reporters on the basketball beat to ask the hard questions. This is like your fat friend telling a girl who denied him at the bar, “Wait until I get jacked.” Well whose fault is it that you aren’t already, fatty?

I love how Harden differentiates “James Harden shape and game shape” like they’re two different things. James Harden shape is probably the ability to play the game, fly to Vegas, party until 8am, fly back, and be ready to play the next night with a killer hangover. Game shape must be 3 for 13 and seven assists, then you disappear down the stretch.

I don’t know how any teammate or front office can take James Harden seriously anymore. He’s delusional. This quote, the system quote. And now everyone’s piling on:

He responded to that video of Mavs broadcaster Brian Dameris via Chris Haynes at Bleacher Report:

“I didn’t even hear exactly what he said, but people were telling me he was going in on me,” Harden told B/R. “He doesn’t know me or the situation. That would be f–ked up if I went at him and started being disrespectful to him, but I can’t. They don’t know anything. They just go off what they see on social media or hearsay.

I don’t know exactly what he said, but I pay that s–t no mind. … I do a really good job at ignoring the noise because it doesn’t affect me. It’s just people talking. I guarantee that if you put whoever is talking in this situation, it wouldn’t be beneficial for them. That’s my mindset, but my focus is getting wins.”

Does Harden think NBA fans are idiots (some definitely are)? But you’re on your fourth team in three years for a reason. The last three you asked out of. There isn’t social media and hearsay involved. It’s facts. Maybe the problem is he thinks of it as people just talking noise when it’s criticism that is valid and will follow him for the rest of his life when people discuss his career. Someone tell me what wasn’t beneficial about playing with two future Hall of Famers and the reigning MVP.
