Hunter Brody is back in the radio game. Super-secret sources tell Crossing Broad he’ll be hosting on 94 WIP as a part-timer, while continuing with his solo/YouTube content at Brodes Media.

Brody was one quarter of the original crew for “The Best Show Ever,” which debuted on 97.5 the Fanatic in August of 2022 with Tyrone Johnson, Ricky Bottalico, and Jen Scordo. Brodes was let go in the summer, a little less than a year after TBSE replaced The Mike Missanelli Show.

After the round of layoffs, which also saw Eric Camille and a few others depart 97.5, Johnson went on the air and took responsibility for Brodes’ dismissal, saying this:

“Anything that goes bad with the show, you absolutely can blame me. And if I was more successful doing this job then I believe Hunter would still be here. But unfortunately, part of when you’re not winning is (that) changes end up being made. I didn’t win, and then someone was going to get cut from a show with this many people.”

Tyrone delivered that statement about not winning (against WIP), then TBSE ended up pulling a higher Nielsen M25-54 number than mornings and afternoons at 97.5 in the very next ratings book. Some irony in that, perhaps.

We’re told Brodes is going to mostly do weekends for WIP to start.
