3rd and 20. They moved the sticks, then went down the field and scored a touchdown.
This was after the pick-6, and they got themselves into 1st and 20 on a Lane Johnson hold before Jason Kelce’s false start knocked them back five more yards after a short gain from Julio Jones. It was 20 to 18 at that point, New York had all the momentum, and we were wondering how we’d handle a home loss to Tyrod Taylor.
What’s great about this play is Jalen stepping UP into the pocket and keeping his eyes downfield. If we had a dime for every time Jalen bails out his right or left, we’d all be living in Cabo and drinking tequila with Sammy Hagar. But this was a beautiful change of pace. Short drop, slide forward, avoid the pressure, and throw a sideline dime over a defender. It’s one of the best pure passing plays he’s made all season long.
