The Commies fired Ron Rivera Monday morning:

Not surprising.
The real surprise is the hire of former Warriors executive Bob Myers to handle the search for their next coach:
Sources: The #Commanders are hiring one of the best in sports, luring 2-time NBA Executive of the Year Bob Myers to the NFL to help run their franchise. Bombshell.
A 4-time NBA champ, Myers built the #Warriors dynasty before stepping down to work in TV. Now he lands in the NFL. pic.twitter.com/UiuWr52Ni4

Yes, Josh Harris does hire better NBA executives for his football team than his basketball team. From what I gathered, this isn’t a full-time role but more of an advisor role during the coaching search.
People are going to immediately jump to the fact that Bob Myers has four rings, so he’s automatically going to hire the greatest coach in the world and make the Commies football’s gold star for the next 15 years. Not me. The Commies are still the Commies until they prove otherwise. We’ll probably get this graphic in another 10 years of coaches that got away:

This search has trading their #2 pick for a cooked Bill Belichick written all over it:
Regarding the #Commanders upcoming head coaching search, I’m told that Bob Myers (former Warriors GM) and Rick Spielman (former Vikings GM) will be advisors to the process, per source.
Also, one interesting note I was told from a source last week, prior to Ron Rivera’s departure…

Also, one interesting note I was told from a source last week, prior to Ron Rivera’s departure is that Josh Harris’ group will be looking for a coach that can create a lasting winning culture similar to the ‘Patriots, Ravens & Chiefs.’”
