Why the Hell Did Joel Embiid Play Against the Warriors?
A meaningless Tuesday game in January and now your MVP might be out for awhile:

You knew this was bound to happen if you watched the game. Joel Embiid never looked right. It’s borderline malpractice the Sixers let him play. Especially after this:

I know he has a say in the decision too, but someone has to be the adult in the room and tell the guy he needs to sit. Like what was he playing for? Cause a couple people in the Denver media or fans on social media were questioning his character? If someone in the locker room is basing that into their decision on whether Embiid plays or not they should be fired.
Chris Haynes mentioned during the game that Embiid’s goals coming into the season were to be the best player in the world and be healthy for the playoff run. He also said the 65 game threshold that requires him to win postseason awards doesn’t have any effect on whether he plays or not. So then again. Why play?
Nick Nurse just told reporters this was a different injury than the one that has kept him out recently. So that’s awesome. Wtf is going on?
Nick Nurse says that the injury that forced Embiid to leave the game in the fourth quarter was unrelated to the injury that has held him out recently. Embiid will get an MRI.

Mike Shanahan letting RG3 start in the playoffs level of malpractice:
