The Flyers may or may not do anything in the postseason, but they’re ahead of schedule and currently the most fun team in town. Here’s Tim Saunders’ call of Thursday night’s game-winner:

This is a very 2023-2024 Flyers-type of goal. It’s what they’ve been all year, a team that just finds a way. They’re not putting together beautiful power play passing sequences, they’re doing stuff like this, which is grinding like hell to keep the puck in the zone while two sticks and a helmet are laying on the ice with less than a minute remaining. The five guys on the ice for the game winner were Noah Cates, Garnet Hathaway, Marc Staal, Egor Zamula, and Ryan Poehling, just like we all imagined at the beginning of the season. And they did it on the road against the NHL’s best team a day after putting Nick Seeler on IR and trading Sean Walker. The Flyers are inevitable. It is, indeed, a new era of orange.
