Not sure if you saw the video of Jalyx Hunt saying “what’s up Big Pimpin’?” to Howie Roseman when he was drafted, but this clip of Howie recounting the story to Rich Eisen makes me laugh:

Howie hasn’t reacted to a question like that since Pagan asked him at the Super Bowl if he was bored with fleecing other GMs. He wasn’t expecting that at all.

What I’m wondering is whether this will stick. Can we work it into a viable nickname with Jay Z and UGK references that only Millennials will understand? “Big pimpin’, spending cheese.” Or, in this case, restructuring contracts and putting a lot of void years on the end of the deals in order to spread out money responsibly and trade immediate relief for a lower future ceiling.

Would we agree that UGK is best known for Big Pimpin’, International Players Anthem, and Sippin’ on Some Syrup? Three smash hits with Jay-Z, Outkast, and Three 6 Mafia. I think it’s somewhat of a disservice to their original material, the non-collaborative music. UGK had banger after banger back in the day, that original wave of southern hip hop. I’d put their stuff up against anyone and I’d recommend that people dive into their catalogue:
