What Bonehead at FOX Thought Dedicating the Entire Phillies/Mets Pregame to the Yankees/Dodgers Was a Good Idea?

20 minutes until the Phillies take on the Mets in London! Lets check-in on the pregame coverage!

Perfect time for a walk through Monument Park in the Bronx.

Rob Manfred talks about how important the London Series is to MLB’s growth and they send their B announce team out to the game and have their TV partners talking more about a game that is 6.5 hours away. I understand the Dodgers and Yankees put asses in seats, but it’s not like it’s Royals vs. Guardians out in London. We’re talking about two top-5 media markets. Major stars on both sides. The best team in baseball! The best pitcher in baseball on the bump! It’s anti-Philadelphian discrimination! We’ve got an entire horse race to get through before that game and the fellas are breaking down Ohtani’s numbers.

People are not happy. It feels like a YES Network rain delay package:

We’re 15 minutes until game time and it’s the first time FOX has actually talked about the Phillies and Mets game. What’d they do? A pre-game interview package between Francisco Lindor and A-Rod. A Met? The team you’d barely know was there with how bad their marketing has been around the London Series? This is ridiculous. Who signed off on this? I need these idiots heads to roll. MLB Network has already interviewed Aaron Nola, Zack Wheeler, Jimmy Rollins, and Shane Victorino while FOX is fellating a bunch of dead guys in centerfield.

They threw it over to AJ Pierzynski’s during the pregame intro and his mic immediately didn’t work. Fire FOX into the sun.
