Backyard Sports Looks Like it's Coming Back With or Without Jason Kelce
Before we get into this listen to the breakdown from Caitlin Hendricks, who did excellent detective work:
@caitlin_hendricks Replying to @TheMattWeinberg The conspiracy thickens and are the Kelce brothers out on Backyard Sports?! #backyardbaseball #backyardsports #millennial #detective #baseball #sports #videogame #conspiracytiktok #greenscreen
At the time of this writing, the Instagram account has over 8k followers and I found a verified TikTok page, which if you know anything about TikTok they don’t just verify anyone.
Anyway this seems like a go in some capacity. What is Playground Productions? Here’s a write-up from their website:
Playground Productions is a children’s and family company focused on making best-in-class film, television, digital media, and video games. Playground creates content that celebrates the spirit of play, meets children where they are developmentally, and allows kids to be kids.
You can follow the paper trail a little more. There’s a guy named Ari Pinchot on LinkedIn who has “
But when you click on Pinchot’s LinkedIn there is nothing saying that. Something’s definitely up and it’s surrounding Pinchot who was reportedly developing a movie around Backyard Sports according to the Wikpedia page. You corner Pinchot you get an answer on Backyard Sports.
Jason Kelce might want to make a couple calls to see how he can get in. I’d be shocked if he isn’t a part of this in someway as an investor or at least a playable character. If Backyard Sports does make a comeback what a year it’ll be for video games. First CFB 25 and now Pablo Sanchez, Keisha Phillips, and Pete Wheeler make a return. Nostalgia city. I kinda want them to keep the same graphics from our childhood. Who needs 8k? This isn’t Call of Duty this is Backyard Sports. All we need is 8-bit graphics and “WE WANT A BATTER NOT A BROKEN LADDER!”
