Gotta Hammer Hawaii -38.5 After Delaware State Missed Flight Out of New York
DSU is a 38.5 underdog in their season opener, which might look even uglier because they missed their flight to Hawaii:
Delaware State spokeswoman confirms Hornets missed today’s 10.5-hour flight to Honolulu because of a bus snafu to JFK airport. “We’re working on a plan,”’she said. DSU and @HawaiiFootball open season Saturday. (@Garyterp was the first to report) #HawaiiFootball @StarAdvertiser

Man that’s gotta suck. You’re a seven-touchdown dog to begin the season on the road, a game that isn’t even being played in the contiguous part of the United States. Then you have to bus from Dover to New York City on a Tuesday, but you miss your flight and now what? Can’t get in a car and drive out there. If you charter, you’re eating into the paycheck you’re receiving for getting whooped by the Rainbow Warriors. Then you gotta fly all the way back and get yourself turned around on short rest to travel to Connecticut for a game against Sacred Heart. Brutal schedule. No disrespect to the Hornets, but I gotta lay the -38.5 on Hawaii. 11:59 p.m. start this Saturday night, let’s go baby, college football is BACK.
