Guerschon Yabusele? Hell Yeah Let's Go
Shams was first, confirmed by others as a league minimum for the Sixers:

Yabusele? Hell yeah, why not? Give the man his second chance. He was fantastic at the Olympics and definitely deserves another crack at the NBA.
Sixers fans should know him from his time with the Celtics. He was a bench player for two seasons there and only played about seven minutes on average in 74 career NBA games. They had Gordon Hayward and Al Horford and Aron Baynes back then, also Marcus Morris and Semi Ojeleye in a crowded front court. So Yabusele went back to Europe and started to figure it out playing two seasons for a French team called ASVEL, before joining Real Madrid and winning the EuroLeague while averaging about 10 and 4. That improvement obviously was on display in an Olympic run where he scored 59 points across the final three games and won Silver with France.
He’s 28 years old now, a legitimate four, about 6’8″ tall and somewhere north of 260 pounds. Wasn’t much of a three-point shooter with the Celtics or with France, but he’s been hovering around 40% in five EuroLeague seasons, where the line is a little shorter than the NBA. He’ll battle for some rebounds off the bench, play decent-enough defense, and functions as a low-risk guy who’s coming off a really nice run. If the Olympic form doesn’t carry itself back to the NBA, well, you got him on the league minimum. Is this signing any more risky than bringing in a veteran league-minimum power forward in his 30s?
Good move. Let’s go.
