Jonny Marks had been teasing a big announcement and the announcement is that he’s going to PHLY. He jumped on Anthony Gargano’s Tuesday morning show and said the following:

“We’re gonna start off at eight o’clock, so it’s going to be 8 to 9 leading in to (Gargano). The hope is some time during the football season we do it at seven o’clock, but 8 to 9 to start, which is gonna be awesome. The show is gonna be me, Tyler Zulli riding shotgun with me, every morning I plan on bringing in rotating guest hosts and things like that to make it cool. I’m not the most intelligent person in the world, not the dumbest person in the world, I like to keep things simple, and we’re gonna sports, talk life…”

Jon, who once co-hosted with Cuz at 97.5 the Fanatic, is going back to mornings and broadcasting before Cuz’s show.

Marks left 94 WIP at the end of 2023 and he’s been taking his time, doing a Parx podcast and hosting his own YouTube show. He told Russ that 97.5 expressed interest, but no agreement there between the two sides. So he comes back with PHLY as All City network approaches the one-year mark of expanding to Philadelphia. They’ll now have Cuz and Marks locally Monday to Friday, plus those daily episodes of the Phillies, Flyers, Eagles, and Sixers podcasts. Seems like there’s more to come as they continue to adjust and polish the product.
