Nick Foles was on Chris Long’s Green Light Podcast talking about what else, but the Super Bowl run. At this point what else is there to talk about with Nick Foles other than the greatest run in sports ever? He’s going to make so much money recapping the Super Bowl and signing shit for the rest of his life. During the interview he mentioned that the Eagles almost ran the Philly Special in the NFC Championship game:

I love how Nick just casually said, “We almost ran the play against the Vikings, but I just threw a touchdown to Alshon instead.” So blase. I can’t believe I was ever on pins and needles thinking we were going to lose to Case Keenum after he marched down the field and made it 7-0 quick.

Here is the touchdown play to Alshon. Ho hum. Just a 53 yard bomb to for Alshon’s first TD of the day:

The poise! The control! The grace to keep the feet moving with the pocket collapsing!

Could you imagine if the Philly Special was called in the NFC Championship instead of the Super Bowl? The play isn’t as legendary and Kyle Scott doesn’t buy a new deck with all of the Philly Special shirts he sold over the next few months.
