Brazilians Are Having a Tough Time Telling the Difference Between Darius Slay and Darius Slayton
The Brazilians are not happy with Slay or Slayton. It looks like Darius Slayton (the Giants wide receiver) was getting some heat after Darius Slay (the Eagles DB) said he didn’t want to go to Brazil because it was dangerous. Darius Slayton set the record straight on Twitter:
Dear people of Brazil my name is Darius SlayTON I play WR for the Giants i am innocent 😭

The ironic part is no one in Brazil can see this tweet because the platform is banned. That’s why Eagles beat reporters currently have their wives working around the clock tweeting updates like, “Isaiah Rodgers is OUT”, back in the homeland.
How about Brazilians acting like your WIP uncles on this one? They’re yelling about Alshon Jeffries when they should be yelling about Alshon Jeffrey. You’d think a country that has a million soccer players with different variations of the name Ronaldo running around would be able to tell the difference between Darius Slay and Darius Slayton. Apparently not:
You’re banned from Brazil buddy

According to FBI homicide statistics, Philadelphia has a rate of 33 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants. Meanwhile, São Paulo, according to the Atlas of Violence, has a rate of 15.4 per 100,000 inhabitants. The most recent figures for both cities are from 2022.

People are researching the murder rate in Sao Paulo and Philadelphia just to own Darius Slay. When I find myself doing actual research to own someone in an argument usually that’s the sign for me to go outside and touch some grass.
Now were Slay’s comments dumb? Probably. But there are going to be 10 more out of him this season just using the law of averages. What you can’t say though is his comments didn’t have any effect. Sao Paulo called in the big guns and tightened up security for this game after the players complained according to ESPN.
