The Maestro is Launching a New Sports Site
Crossing Broad founder Kyle Scott, aka “The Maestro,” is launching a new sports site:
Today, we are launching @OnPattison — your new favorite Philly sports site.
Excited to be joined by:@TimKellySports@AntSanPhilly@NBAKrell@2008Philz@DavidGrzyTV
What can you expect from the site, and how did it come about?
Let’s delve:

That’s a very good staff. Obviously you know Kyle and Anthony from their work on this site. Gryz ran social for us during the 2022 World Series run and Tim, Austin, and John have been on our YouTube show in the past. It’s a small world in Philly sports media.
Kyle explains in the thread that he met with former Metro publisher Jim McDonald, who owns Access Media, after learning about his company’s acquisition of OCNJ Daily. So Kyle and Investor Mike partnered with McDonald, rolled their newsletter into the business, and then built this new sports site. They’re gonna do “capital J Journalism sports coverage” in reverse chronological blog style, and Kyle says “On Pattison will join a network of nearly a dozen sites (with more on the way), reaching hundreds of thousands of people in the Philly area– local news + sports.”
Now I know what you’re thinking. Is this a direct challenge to Crossing Broad? Will we meet up with On Pattison like the scene in Anchorman where competing television stations get together and try to kill each other with tridents and claymores? No. Not right now, at least. There’s room for everyone on the Philly sports media bandwagon. All are welcome. And we don’t feel threatened anyway, because we know that nobody else can write Pulitzer-worthy stories like “Who Farted on the Sixers Bench?” and “Nick Castellanos is Turning Johan Rojas into a Dirty Little Slut.”
