I posed the question Tuesday afternoon of, “Is this an Alec Bohm legacy game?” Will he earn his cherry pinstripes?” Boy oh boy did he answer that question in Game 2:

But turns out it was an Alec Bohm legacy game, and for all the wrong reasons. We’ll definitely remember it forever. The 1-4 line, getting thrown out at second because he has a piano on his back, and then crying in the dugout. You can’t cry in the dugout. Not during a playoff game.

So legacy game? Technically yes (and yes all I did was switch Temple gear between videos):

There is no chance you can start Alec Bohm tonight, right? He just saw five pitches in four at bats. He’s seen eight in six at bats since Rob Thomson benched him. Weston Wilson with all his defensive faults has to at least be in the conversation after he hit .341 this year against lefties – albeit in only 44 at bats. Alec Bohm is so far in his head it’s ridiculous. I’m not even trying to be an asshole. There’s something wrong with him internally that I think is bigger than baseball. Watch him lose it after getting thrown out at second:

He’s cuckoo right now. He’s yelling at no one in the dugout. He’s got tears in his eyes. It’s gotta be even worse inside the clubhouse. If you read between the lines of what Topper said about energy when he benched Bohm for Edmundo Sosa you know it isn’t crazy to think Bohm sulks too much for the organization’s liking. Can’t win with this type of guy. Not in the playoffs. We might’ve seen the last of Alec Bohm on the Phillies and his legacy will be him crying on the bench. So technically yea, he did have his legacy game.

P.S. I want to get out in front of this before someone steals it. I call dibs on the Alec Bohm Game 5 ovation idea. I could use a movie deal. Someone relay that to Philly Captain and Jack Fritz.

P.P.S. I don’t want to pass blame, but there’s enough of it to go around so what’s a little more. Mickey wasn’t wrong. Women weaken legs. Numbers never lie:
