I'll Believe Artificial Intelligence is Coming for Our Jobs When it Can Figure Out What Number Scott Rolen is
Comcast and The Cordish Companies released some mock-ups of a reimagined Xfinity Live on Tuesday. It’s your typical addition with more bar space, some greenery, a Crush Bar, and honestly will probably be completely different by the time they build it in two years as consumer tastes change. But here are the plans anyway:
BREAKING: Comcast and Cordish Companies have submitted plans for a reimagined entertainment plaza outside of Xfinity Live! This will include a lawn, a new stage, a VIP section, new bars, and more. This is all just phase one of the new plans. Would be AMAZING to see move ahead. pic.twitter.com/PjeEg6IHfk

You can see in one of the pictures all the Phillies fans are rocking jerseys with the name “Rolen” on the back of them.
Some of them have his #17 on, but plenty also have Bryce Harper, Todd Pratt, Abraham Nunez, Hunter Pence, and Jeff Francoeur’s #3 on the back of them:
I’m supposed to worry about the robots taking our jobs and they can’t even train themselves enough to know Scott Rolen hasn’t been on the Phillies since 2002? Read a book, you stupid robots. Sure they’re going to enslave me, you, and your children one day, but at least we know we can defeat them if we all start reading the Baseball Encyclopedia right now. Ask them to identify Doug Glanville, Travis Fryman, and Rico Brogna’s number and their robot heads might explode.
The new Xfinity Live! expansion is going to cost $15 million and is part of Phase 1 of a larger plan for more retail space, apartments, hotels, etc. down at the South Philly complex. I’m most interested to see what they do with the two-floor bar. Right now on gameday Xfinity Live is a shit show. That’s no shade at them. They have a place where people want to watch a game. It’s just in dire need of more space. It’s cramped inside and there are lines around the corner to get in. There’s the outdoor patio, but it’s unwatchable a third of the season when it’s cold. I just hope they make the two-story bar temperature controlled for the winter. There’s my civic two sense. Carry on.
