We did the “Saquon has more rushing yards than the Giants” post on Sunday night, just for a laugh and an excuse to use the John Mara Hard Knocks video again. Looking at it a little more closely, Barkley actually has more rushing yards than 21 NFL teams. His current total is 1,392 and only 10 other teams besides the Eagles have at least 1,400:

It’s no coincidence that the teams at the top of this list are playoff contenders. The Niners, Saints, and Buccaneers are the only squads in the top 10 that do not have winning records, and even then, Tampa and San Fran are one game below .500, so they’re not dreck. And while Saquon has been playing at an MVP level through 11 games, the Eagles have 675 rushing yards between Jalen Hurts and Kenny Gainwell, who both look really good on the ground. Hurts only needs 150 over these six final games to eclipse last year’s mark of 456 rushing yards. Gainwell is at 219 on 47 carries, which is a 4.7 YPC number. He’s having his most efficient season as an Eagle. The other rushing yards are negligible – an Ainias Smith end around, a Jahan Dotson run, and then Will Shipley garbage time carries and Kenny Pickett kneel downs.
