I can’t believe the Phillies actually sent this out to fans on Thursday. Do you want to remember one of the worst moments of your life? You’re in luck because now you can get NLDS tix to always remember the the section, row, and seat you were in when the Mets split the homestand! Get em while they’re hot!

Does everything have to be a money grab with this organization? Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate they spend. BOIB for a reason. But I’ve always said for as good as the owner, players, and front office are, the suits in that place have their heads stuck so far up their asses. If it isn’t something to attract a family of four, they have zero pulse of this fanbase. Was there really no one in that meeting who spoke up and thought, “Eh maybe the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. You know maybe the wounds are still a little fresh.“? Absolutely not, because all it is is about the bottom line on that side of the house. You got your two new gigantic scoreboards that cram more ads on them than a stock car, you’re incentivizing Phillies fans to re-sell their playoff tix, you have some of the most expensive concessions in league, and you punished us with BOGO night which gave you a 150% price mark-up on the promotion from a year prior. I mean at least sign Juan Soto first before you twist the knife. Even the 9/11 coin waited a couple months. Send the email around Opening Day when optimism is probably higher. A Thursday in November when the Sixers are 1-6, Matvei Michkov just got sent to Siberia, and half the fanbase is still pissed off at the election results just rubs salt in the wound. Remember that Game 1 when your bullpen blew Zack Wheeler gem? Remember when your top-5 went 3 for 19? Wasn’t that fun! Didn’t you have fun! Commemorate it forever!

Here’s what you get for $20:

For an extra $30 the Phillies can put it in a $2 plastic frame for you! Because you had fun, right? Spoiler alert: No one did. There is footage:

Actually people couldn’t wait to get out of there.

And sure they won Game 2, but that didn’t come without a heart attack. Remember when it was 6-4 in the 9th and the Mets tied it up? We needed two 2-out walks before Nick Castellanos knocked in the winning run. Who even remembers Game 2 when we have Games 3 & 4 that finished what we thought would be a promising season?
