24 hours until the Big 10 championship game between Penn State and Oregon and the get-in price is 10 bucks:

That’s in the upper corner of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Upper deck, closer to the 50-yard line you’re looking at $25-40 and then $75 to $85 behind the end zones. There are sideline tickets going anywhere from $90 to $250.

It’s a weird situation for two reasons. One, Oregon fans gotta fly in from the west coast, 2,000-some odd miles, and Penn State fans that want to drive are looking at 5 1/2 hours from Western PA and almost eight hours from Happy Valley. Two, with the new playoff setup, the first round games are being held on college campuses. If Penn State loses to Oregon, they might wind up hosting someone like Arizona State at Beaver, then go on to a neutral-site quarterfinal, semifinal, or final. So you’re not totally sure what the coming weeks are going to look like, which probably influences whether or not you want to travel to Indy (in December) for the conference title game. And a third reason might be this – Penn State fans probably weren’t expecting to be here in the first place. If Ohio State took care of business against Michigan, their fans would have flooded the stadium. Instead, the situation is what it is.
