Shout Out to Kenny Pickett for Playing with Broken Ribs
It was confirmed after the Dallas win that Kenny Pickett played with broken ribs:
Darius Slay confirms to us Kenny Pickett played through broken ribs today even before exiting the game
Slay compares Pickett’s performance to what he saw from Matthew Stafford throughout his career and gives Pickett props for having the guts to play through that injury

After today’s win, Lane Johnson revealed that Tanner McKee got most of the reps in Friday’s practice because of Kenny Pickett’s ribs injury. It probably helped McKee today when he got in the game.

Pickett played well. 10 for 15, 143 yards, one rushing TD and one passing TD. He would have had a second TD for A.J. Brown on what was a great end zone throw, but that play was whistled dead due to holding and he ended up leaving the game after taking another hit.
But he got the job done. The Eagles were up big when he left, and the plays that opened up the game were the sideline heave for Grant “one-hand” Calcaterra and the deep corner shot to DeVonta Smith, facing cover 0. When you consider that the guy did a couple of tush pushes with broken ribs, and think of the potential for being squashed in the pile, it’s gotta suck to run that play. The dude went out there injured, in a big spot, and played well enough to help the team secure the division title. Well done. Hail to Pitt!
