Vic Fangio is Open to Ideas for Helping Jalen Carter Overcome the Holding that's Being Done to Him
If you have two eyeballs and a third-grade understanding of football, you saw Jalen Carter being grabbed, held, yanked, pulled, accosted – basically whatever word you wanna pick to describe what the Ravens were doing to him on Sunday. Vic Fangio certainly saw it:
Vic Fangio asked about what he can do to help Jalen Carter get through some of the holding being done against him. “I don’t know. You got any ideas?” Then added there was one play where he was egregiously held and pulled to the ground but it didn’t get called pic.twitter.com/OyMZGHJyA9

There are a lot of clips to navigate because Carter was held on what felt like every other play.
This may be what Fangio is referring to:
I’m convinced Jalen Carter doesn’t getting holding calls because he’s like dominant big man in the NBA
If they called every foul they’d have to call a foul on every shot attempt
They don’t give Carter holding calls because they’d have to call 10-12 holdspic.twitter.com/ua4FXbVhGA

For what it’s worth, the Eagles are dead last in accepted opponent penalties. They’ve accepted 53, while the Cowboys have accepted 99. At -22, the Eagles have the second-worst penalty differential in the league, which amounts to -194 yards against them in penalty net. Thing is, the Eagles are not some team that gets flagged a bunch. They’ve only committed 75 total, so the differential is less about their issues and more about other teams not getting flagged.
It is what it is. You gotta defeat various individuals throughout a season. You have to defeat the opponent and the refs. You have to defeat the fake news media and whomever overwatered the Tahoma 31 grass. No one likes us, we care a lot and justifiably complain about it.
