Woman Says She Was Hit in the Face by Jake Elliott's Field Goal, Which Didn't Land in the Crowd
This is on TikTok:
@jillianzimmer Currently still at the hospital but GO BIRDS @Philadelphia Eagles #eagles #gobirds
She’s gotta be talking about an extra point, right? There was only one Elliott field goal attempt, a 52-yarder that fell short and didn’t enter the stands. It landed in a row of empty seats right behind the barricade and bounced off the ground. And if you look at the TikTok, there’s a shot of Jillian and a friend sitting in the north side of the stadium. Elliott’s missed field goal was facing the other direction so it makes me think this happened during one of the XP attempts.
This is what she said in the replies: “I was walking back to my seat like scooching past everyone so i was looking down the row to see where i was going and then i looked up and immediate ball to the face.” In that case – violation! It would mean she left her seats when the Birds were in the red zone, right? What other explanation is there?
Pretty funny to go through the replies though. She says someone sitting next to her took the ball after it rocked her in the face. At the very least, you should get to keep the ball as consolation for your CTE. Or maybe not. There are people giving her the ‘ole “pay attention and you won’t get clocked” routine, like it’s a Phillies game and Nick Castellanos is fouling one off at 100 mph.
