Incredible. Probably the greatest statistic in Philadelphia Eagles history:

At 20.2%, the Eagles had one of the lowest blitz rates all season long. It was 27th overall, resulting in the league’s fifth-lowest pressure rate, near 18%. Vic Fangio’s defense was always predicated on keeping things in front, limiting explosive plays, and shutting things down with a strong linebacker and DB corps.

The fact that they did this in the Super Bowl, only sending the front four, is nothing short of phenomenal. They finished with six sacks, six tackles for loss, four PBUs, 11 quarterback hits, a strip sack, and a defensive touchdown. Compare that to two years ago against the Chiefs, slipping around on the crap turf, when they didn’t sack Mahomes a single time and only touched him five times.

Brilliant performance. Once in a generation. We may never see anything like it ever again.
