This clip has been circulating on social. It’s Adam Schefter talking about Eagles draft picks over the next two seasons:

“…they wound up getting three compensatory draft picks, or will be getting in 2026, and once those are awarded, the Philadelphia Eagles are scheduled to have 20 draft picks in the next two year’s time, most teams have seven, the Eagles have 20 the next two years, including 11 in the first four rounds of the next two years…it’s probably going to turn into more once they lose Mekhi Becton”

They’re in a position to flip this thing completely upside down in no time. Something like 40% of the team can be on a rookie deal if they want to go down that road. And if Howie keeps knocking these draft picks out of the park, then sky’s the limit. He’ll cool off at some point… or will he? He hasn’t missed on a draft pick in the first three rounds since the Jalen Reagor and Davion Taylor draft, which was in 2020.

The Philly Fly Instagram account made a graphic with all of the picks on it, which is mostly accurate except I think one of these 5th rounders in 2025 is a natural pick:

The 5th round picks in 2025 are a combination of previous draft maneuvering and the pick they got from Washington in the Jahan Dotson trade. The 2026 third rounder from the Jets comes from the Haason Reddick trade, which did become a 2nd because of Reddick’s holdout. The conditions didn’t trigger. Then you’re looking at the compensatory picks for Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, Isaiah Rodgers, and Mekhi Becton if he does indeed sign elsewhere.

Roseman does a lot of wheeling and dealing, and won’t use all of these draft picks. He’ll slide around the board, push some into the future, maybe package and move up if they like a player. But they’re in a strong position to fill the holes created by departing veterans who deserved to get paid after the Super Bowl. It’s Howie season, let him cook.
