And then Jimmy Kempski over at Philly Voice followed up a little bit later with confirmation:
According to a source, the Philadelphia Eagles have released third-year wide receiver Mack Hollins.
Jimmy says the Eagles will promote guard OG Sua Opeta from the practice squad to replace Hollins’ roster spot. He had not caught a pass since the Green Bay game, which was in September, and finished this year with 10 catches for 125 yards and zero touchdowns.
The Eagles confirmed a few minutes after Kempski’s report:
