Norristown Native Tommy Lasorda Dead at 93

RIP to Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda, who died Thursday night after a recent battle with heart problems that saw him hospitalized and later released.
He was 93 years old, a Norristown, Pennsylvania native who managed the Los Angeles Dodgers for 20 years, winning the 1981 and 1988 World Series during that time.
On Twitter, the franchise shared this message and explained what happened:
Lasorda is one of baseball’s all-time characters. He gave decades to the sport and served in a variety of ways, with a brief playing career that transitioned into management, and later some front office work that evolved into ambassadorial Dodger duties.
