C.J. Chatham? Never heard of him.
Apparently he’s Boston’s #14 prospect, a good defensive player who fits at short stop or second base. He’s a 26-year-old righty who worked his way through the Red Sox system to Triple-A Pawtucket, which actually re-branded and moved to Worcester ahead of the 2021 season.
Splitting time between Pawtucket and the Double-A Portland Sea Dogs, Chatham knocked in 46 runs and hit five homers while logging a .741 OPS in 2019.
As for Arano, he had a strong 2018, then had the elbow surgery and that was apparently it for his Phillies career.
