Phillies Sign a Lefty

They went out and got Matt Moore, according to Jim Salisbury:
Phillies have agreed to major-league deal with free agent lefty Matt Moore, according to sources. Deal is pending a physical. Moore made 15 starts in Japan last year and pitched well.

Moore is the former Tiger/Ranger/Giant/Ray. He had a nice run with Tampa earlier in his career, going 17-4 in 2013 and earning an All-Star selection while finishing with a 3.29 ERA. He was with Detroit in 2019 but had to miss the season after tearing the meniscus in his right knee.
He’s 31 years old now and played this past season in Japan with the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, pitching seven no-hit innings in game three of the Japan Series, which the Hawks won 4-0. A sweep! Moore had a 2.65 ERA in Japan.
We know the Phils need pitching, so come on over, Matt Moore. Come on back to the USA and let’s see what’s left in the tank.
Update with contract info:
Can confirm Matt Moore is in agreement with the #Phillies as @JSalisburyNBCS 1st reported,. @Ken_Rosenthal says 1 yr, $3M.
