Sixers vs. Rockets Player Props (May 5, 2021)
At 44-21, the Philadelphia 76ers find themselves at the top of the Eastern Conference, with the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks jockeying for playoff position just behind them. Every positive result Philadelphia can rack up will be critical to their chances of sealing the deal of locking in the top seed entering the postseason.

The Sixers are coming off a 106-94 victory over the Chicago Bulls, their second-consecutive road victory. In that game, MVP candidate Joel Embiid put together a somewhat underwhelming performance, tallying just 13 points and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes. Thankfully for Embiid, Seth Curry and Tobias Harris stepped up to shoulder the scoring load, combining for 41 points.
The Houston Rockets enter play following two embarrassing blowout defeats at home, first to the Golden State Warriors 113-87, then to the New York Knicks 122-97. With just seven games remaining, the season cannot end soon enough for Houston.
Will the Sixers benefit from another game against a bottom feeding team, or will the Rockets pull off a massive upset at home?
Seth Curry to Record Over 13.5 Combined Points and Rebounds (-122, FanDuel Sportsbook)
If there’s one players who’s stepped up his game in a big way down the stretch for the Philadelphia 76ers, it’s sharpshooter Seth Curry. Curry has reveled in the opportunity to play 35+ minutes in each of his last two games, averaging 21.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. In fact, he’s tallied at least 20 points in three of his last four games, and has reached double-digit points in six of his last eight games overall.
In the first meeting between the Sixers and Rockets this season, Curry went off for a season-high 25 points on 8-13 shooting, including 3-5 from beyond the arc.

Double Your Money: Joel Embiid to Record 1+ Dunk (+100, FOX Bet)
This isn’t a market that will pay a ridiculous multiplier, but doubling your money from a max bet of $25 to $50 is worth a look when the bet is as straight-forward as this one. Sixers center Joel Embiid has seen his time on court vary a bit over the past week, playing fewer minutes against dreadful teams in blowout victories, while getting 30+ minutes in more competitive games.
While Christian Wood has developed into a legitimate NBA starting center after having gotten a brief look by the Sixers early in his career, he doesn’t stack up to MVP candidate Joel Embiid. It stands to reason that Embiid will get plenty of opportunities in the restricted area, perhaps after getting Wood into foul trouble, as Embiid’s direct matchup has tended to do this season. An increased number of opportunities in the paint means an increased likelihood of the Sixers center slamming one home.

Danny Green to Record Over 10.5 Combined Points and Assists (-125, BetMGM)
When Danny Green was acquired this past offseason, the hope was that his experience as an NBA champion and skillset as the prototypical 3-and-D player would pay dividends for the Sixers down the stretch. He’s played a critical role in stabilizing a dynamic starting lineup, helping to lead Philadelphia to the top of the Eastern Conference.
Danny Green has put up performances of 17 and 14 combined points and rebounds over his last two games. He’s crossed the 10.5 combined points and assists threshold in five of his last nine games. Given the likelihood that tonight’s contest could become a runaway early, expect Green to see enough playing time to pass 10.5 comfortably.
