Hayes didn’t have a good season. 12 goals and 19 assists over 55 games placed him in an 11-way tie for 136th in the NHL in points. He went all of April and May with just one goal and six assists and really fell off after playing really well in January.
He’ll be the third-highest paid player on the Flyers this coming season and they’ll need the Kevin Hayes of 2020 to show up again.
Kevin has been writing about Philadelphia sports since 2009. He spent seven years in the CBS 3 sports department and started with the Union during the team's 2010 inaugural season. He went to the academic powerhouses of Boyertown High School and West Virginia University. email - k.kinkead@sportradar.com
